Creating and Managing Groups

Learn how NatterFly Groups work, how to create your own community, and how to control access to your group's dedicated chatroom.

Groups are one of the most powerful features of NatterFly. Whether you're creating a community for friends, your local area, a gaming clan, a car club, a sports team or a shared hobby, Groups give you everything you need to build and manage your own community.

Every Group includes its own dedicated chatroom, allowing members to chat together in real time while also sharing discussions, photographs, events and polls.

Your Group Chatroom

Every Group automatically has its own chatroom.

As the Group Owner, you decide who can use it.

Public Chatroom

Anyone on NatterFly can enter your Group's chatroom, even if they are not a member of your Group. This is perfect for welcoming new members, meeting new people and growing your community.

Group Members Only

If you'd prefer a more private community, you can change your chatroom to Group Members Only.

When enabled, only approved members of your Group can enter and chat in the room. This is ideal for private communities, clubs, gaming groups or close-knit groups of friends.

Managing Your Group

As the Group Owner, you're in complete control of your community. You can:

Edit your Group information.
Approve or remove members.
Create discussions.
Organise events.
Create photo albums.
Run community polls.
Choose whether your chatroom is Public or Group Members Only.
Build Your Community

Groups are designed to bring people together. Whether you're organising local meet-ups, discussing your favourite television programme, sharing photographs from your latest car meet or simply chatting with friends, Groups provide your own space within NatterFly.
