4. Public profile information

6. Chatrooms, Groups and Submitted Content
Messages and other content posted in public chatrooms, public groups, discussions, events, polls and albums may be visible to visitors or other members. You should never share passwords, financial information or other confidential personal information within public areas of the website.
NatterFly does not provide private messaging through chatrooms, whispers or hidden one-to-one chat. Chatroom conversations remain visible to other users who have access to that room.
Members who mutually agree to connect may exchange text-only messages through the separate Messaging Centre. Connection requests can be disabled, connections can be ended, and blocked members cannot use the messaging system to make unwanted contact.
For the safety of our community, public chatroom conversations are recorded in secure server logs. These logs may be reviewed where reasonably necessary to:
- Investigate reports of abuse, harassment or threats.
- Review moderation actions and appeals.
- Protect members and safeguard the community.
- Detect spam, fraud or other misuse of the service.
- Comply with legal obligations or lawful requests from law enforcement.
Chat logs are accessible only to authorised staff and are not available to other members or the general public.
Membership of a public group may be visible to other visitors or members. Membership of a private group may be visible only to the group's owners, managers and approved members.
Private groups and restricted chatrooms should not be considered completely confidential. Content may be reviewed where reasonably necessary for moderation, security, safeguarding or technical support.

Public chatroom transcripts are normally retained for up to 12 months. After this period they are securely deleted unless they are required for an ongoing investigation, moderation appeal, safeguarding matter or legal obligation.
Messaging Centre messages and connection records may be retained while reasonably necessary to provide the messaging service, maintain account safety, investigate reports or abuse, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
Security logs, audit records and system backups may be retained for limited periods where necessary to maintain the integrity and security of the service.
13. Account deletion
You may request the deletion of your account. Some public content, including chatroom messages, group discussions, poll responses and event activity, may be anonymised or retained where necessary to preserve conversations, prevent abuse or meet legal obligations.
14. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing.
Requests may require confirmation of your identity before any account information is released or changed.
